Health and Social Care

Are you:
- aged 16-18?
- not in education, employment or training?
- interested in a career in health and social care?
Our Health and Social Care course is now available at Levels 1 and 2. You will work towards the correct level of qualification to suit your needs, along with English, maths, work skills and a work placement. The course will equip learners with all the skills required to progress into work, an apprenticeship or further education.
Level 1
The Level 1 course will help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to pursue your chosen career in health and social care or working with children.
Entry requirements
Although you do not need any qualifications to start the Level 1 programme, you must attend all sessions including maths, English, employability, PSD and your work placement found especially to suit your needs.

This is a practical introduction to various roles and specific areas of expertise in the health and social care sector. The course provides a variety of specially-designed tasks and projects that learners have to complete within the safety of our fully-equipped holistic learning centre.

Next steps?
You can progress onto the Level 2 or enrol on our traineeship programme, subject to successful interview.
Level 2
Entry requirements
You must:
- already hold a Level 1 certificate in Health and Social Care OR GCSE’S A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
- have current photo I.D to obtain a DBS (in order for you to complete work experience).
